Override

This command is new in build 202

Many thanks to TL for suggesting this command.

Removes a loaded hotkey from HotkeyNet's memory so you can redefine it.

Syntax

<Override hotkey>

Parameters

Hotkey is the keyword and trigger(s) of the hotkey(s) that you are removing from memory. See below for an example.

Remarks

If you attempt to define the same hotkey twice in a script, HotkeyNet assumes you made a mistake and generates an error message.

But sometimes you really want to do that. If that's the case, use this command to remove the first definition of the hotkey(s) from HotkeyNet's memory. Then define the hotkey(s) again.

Example

The following script will generate an error message because it attempts to define <Hotkey F1> twice.

<Hotkey F1>
   <Key %Trigger%>

<Hotkey F1>
   <Text I'm getting redefined.>

If we add Override to the script, it will load without errors, and only the second definition of <Hotkey F1> will be used.

<Hotkey F1>
   <Key %Trigger%>

<Override Hotkey F1>

<Hotkey F1
   <Text I'm getting redefined.>

Override's argument can specify multiple triggers. The syntax is the same as the one used with Hotkey.

<Override Hotkey A-Z>
<Override MovementHotkey up, down>
<Override Hotkey MyList; Alt MyList>
