REFERENCE
PingHotkeyNet

This command is new in build 100

Measures how long it takes to send a message to another copy of HotkeyNet and receive an answer.

Syntax

<PingHotkeyNet ip>

Parameters

IP is the address of a remote computer with a connected copy of HotkeyNet.

Remarks

This command shows the time required for a round trip. It sends a signal from the local PC to the remote PC and brings it back again. The entire event is timed. But normally when you use HotkeyNet, signals travel only one way, so the delays you experience in actual use of this program are only about half as long as ping times.

Example

The following hotkey pings a copy of HotkeyNet on a remote PC.

<Hotkey F1>
    <PingHotkeyNet 192.168.1.66>

The following hotkey pings four times in rapid succession to allow a comparison of turning the Nagle algorithm off and on.

<Hotkey F1>
    <PingHotkeyNet 192.168.1.66>
    <PingHotkeyNet 192.168.1.66>
    <PingHotkeyNet 192.168.1.66>
